Lara Logan
Lara Logan (born 29 March 1971) is a South African television and radio journalist and war reporter. She worked as a correspondent for CBS News between 2002 and 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager called her factually inaccurate and politically slanted report regarding the 2012 Benghazi attack "the most erroneous mistake I've made in my 10-year watch." In 2019, she was hired by Sinclair Broadcast Group, which is a conservative media firm. [4] In January 2020 she joined Fox Nation (a subscription streaming service operated by Fox News). In March 2022, she claimed she was "dumped" by the network. Logan was a journalist for the Sunday Tribune of Durban during her studies (1988-1989), followed by the Daily News of the city (1990-1992). In 1992, she was hired by Reuters Television Africa, primarily as a senior producers. After four years, she moved to freelance journalism. The assignments included a reporter/editor/producer with ITN, Fox/SKY News in London, CBS News, ABC News in London, NBC, NBC and European Broadcasting Union. CNN was her base, and she reported on events such as the 1998 United States embassy bombings, in Nairobi and Tanzania. Also, the ongoing conflict between Northern Ireland and Kosovo.
