Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. She is a part of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) and the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for the US Department of State (2013-15) and the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a contributor to CNN's political coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her career in 2001 by working on the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was John Kerry's deputy press secretary in 2004. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was back in the political arena in 2012 and was the press secretary for President Obama’s 2012 campaign. [20] Psaki became the spokesperson for United States Department of State. [20] The speculations that she would replace Jay Carney White House Press secretary when he left the White House[21] were fuelled by her hire at the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement of Carney on May 30th, 2014. She was named communications director at the White House and continued to perform this role until the end of 2015.
